- BS or MS in Engineering or Science
- A GPA of at least 3.0 in all prior graduate work
- A GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework
- Minimum scores on standardized tests: 155 on GRE Quantitative, 146 on GRE Verbal, 79 on TOEFL iBT or 6.5 on IELTS (if English is not native language)
- International applicants who have completed a US bachelor's or master's degree and are not seeking funding as a Graduate Teaching Assistant are exempt from English language proficiency requirement
- English language proficiency requirement for international applicants if English is not native language
- 60 hours of undergraduate coursework must be completed with a minimum GPA of 3.0
