- Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 in a related area (biology, chemistry, geology, or environmental science) for full admission.
- GPA calculations based on last 60 units of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate study.
- Conditional admission may be granted for GPA of 2.75-2.99 or lacking key prerequisites.
- Required courses for non-related undergraduate degrees:
- Two terms of introductory biology with laboratory
- Two terms of introductory chemistry with laboratory
- One term of statistics or one term of calculus
