Admission Requirements
- MSE Department encourages applications from students with undergraduate backgrounds in materials science and engineering, chemistry, physics, geology, and most fields of engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) expected for B.S. degree program or last 60 hours of course work
- GRE is required for MSE applicants
- Minimum scores of at least 150 on Verbal, 155 on Quantitative, and 4.0 on Analytical Writing preferred
- International applicants must take TOEFL unless completed degree at English speaking university
- Entire application will be considered for admission decision, regardless of GRE scores meeting minimums
