Description

ETS introduced TOEFL Home Edition for candidates to take the TOEFL iBT test safely from their homes.

Test Environment and Equipment

Desktop or laptop computer required (no tablets or mobile devices).
Only one monitor or screen allowed (multiple monitors or dual screens not permitted).
Approved operating system: PC (Windows 10 or higher) or MAC (Mac OS X 10.13 or higher).
Browsers: Chrome or Firefox.
ProctorU® Guardian Browser must be downloaded and installed for communication with the proctor.
Internal or external speaker for test and proctor communication (no headsets or earphones).
Internal or external microphone for test and proctor communication (no headsets or earphones).
Separate webcam or built-in camera allowed; should provide a 360-degree view of the room.
